CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS

CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS

Impellers that are employed in different stages of centrifugal compressors are of the closed, semi-open or open types, based on the operating conditions of the equipment. Due to the high centrifugal force acting on the impeller and the significance of high mechanical properties, especially in radial direction, open and semi-open impellers are manufactured using CNC machining from forged raw materials. Simulation of forging process are conducted in related available software to ensure accuracy of the forge processing parameters and mechanical properties of the final product.

TURBO EXPANDER

TURBO EXPANDER

Turbo expanders are driven by extraction of mechanical power from process fluid flow without any external driving motor. 3D Metrology and Reverse engineering of impellers is carried out by our engineers employing state of the art software such as CF-Turbo. These impellers are manufactured from high strength, low weight alloys such as Aluminum Gr.7175-T6. 5 and 4 Axis CNC Machines are used for manufacturing the impellers. Special attention to material, Manufacturing procedure, test and operating requirements of API standard is mandatory for these equipment.

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP

One of the most functional pump series in oil, gas and petrochemical industries, the manufacturing of which demands special considerations and requirements, are multi-stage centrifugal pumps. Impellers of such pumps have mostly narrow outlet width and high blade surface finish. This requires the manufacturer to utilize investment casting methods. PSP has the capability of manufacturing impellers using investment casting method. It has to be noted that the shaft of multi-stage pumps, are commonly slender so that the manufacturing process entails special considerations. PSP experts have the required technical knowledge to manufacture slender rotor shafts with minimum allowable runout which are analogous to their original counterparts.

EXTRUDER

EXTRUDER

Extruders are categorized into 2 different sub-groups such as single and twin screws. Screw extruders in each of their categories could be manufactured integrally or non-integrally with segmented elements mounted on centric shaft. In addition, according to design considerations, single or multi flight screws are used for different applications. On basis of rotating direction of the screws, it’s divided into Co-Rotating and Counter-Rotating. Another classification based on clearance between screws and cylinders are “intermeshing” and “non-intermeshing” cases. The difference between the two, is that in the case of intermeshing screw extruder, passage of the fluid between two screws are interfering with each other. (Center distance of screws less than half the sum of screw diameters)
